The Kee Resort and Spa Phuket Review
The Kee Resort & Spa Phuket is probably one of the best-located hotels in Patong Beach if you want to be in the heart of the renowned Bangla Walking Street action. Its unique location at the end of Soi Seadragon makes it the perfect place for guests who plan to be on the beach during the day and party at night. The hotel is well-designed and equipped with all the facilities you can expect from a 4-star hotel in Phuket. The rates are very affordable for such convenience, and the service is very friendly.
With 244 rooms and six room types, The Kee Resort and Spa Phuket is quite large but designed in a smart, compact way with a modern style. The pool addresses the young generation with a massive pool bar playing club music all day and very skilled bartenders. Next to the pool is a superb spa with many beautiful private rooms and an outdoor Jacuzzi, which is the perfect way to cure a hangover.
The Restaurants
The Kee Resort and Spa Phuket features two restaurants: The Kee Kitchen on the ground floor next to the pool serving all-day dining as well as a good breakfast buffet, and the highlight of the hotel: the amazing Kee Sky Lounge rooftop. Located on the 7th floor, this vast terrace is built on two levels, the first with a circular bar and great sofas to enjoy the music played by the DJ. This is an absolute must at the end of the day when the sun sets; go up there, order a drink with some food from the menu and get a unique viewpoint of the bay of Patong on one side and the city on the other. It might just be seven floors, but you get sunset photos from the top are amazing!
KEE Sky Lounge Rooftop Bar
The KEE Sky Lounge rooftop bar at the Kee Resort in Patong Beach has been popular for years, but it got a significant facelift, and it sure looks right now! The rooftop bar invites you to the sun deck of a luxury cruiser, one of the best places in Patong, to enjoy a sunset with a cocktail and great music. The rooftop is in a very strategic location, near Bangla Walking Street and the beach. Read more
The Rooms
The Kee Resort and Spa Phuket has 6 room types, and mine was a convenient Deluxe Pool View. Not very large but modern and well-appointed with a large bathtub, comfortable sofa, and terrace with tables above the pool (you can hear a bit of the music from up there, so if you are after total silence, this might not be the hotel for you) and most important a pretty fast free WiFi internet connection.
Thankfully, my room had a suitable desk and plenty of plugs, as they should be nowadays. I also saw the suite rooms on the top floors; they are much larger, with a bedroom, a living room and a good balcony fit with a double daybed.

What’s around
All around the hotel and part of the hotel is a modern shopping arcade selling all the classic items you can expect to find in Patong: Tee shirts, beach sandals, beach toys and, of course, the compulsory tailors. Note that there are two ways to reach the Kee, one through Soi Seadragon via Bangla Road and one that leads to the beach in less than 3 minutes. The hotel also is lucky to have large parking, a rare thing in the heart of Patong!
So just as planned, I went to the party (let’s say I mostly took nightlife photos), which was the best hotel choice. I went back to my room at 4 am without having to drive or ride a Tuk Tuk. I just walked back to your room without any stress or worries.
