This remarkable occasion attracts a multitude of devotees who gather at Chinese shrines throughout the island, accompanied by an even larger group of enthusiastic photographers seeking to capture a memorable shot. The Vegetarian Festival holds global recognition, although it is primarily associated with Phuket, despite its more modest observance in Bangkok during similar dates.
