Kora Beach Resort is on Layan Beach, at the northern end of the Bang Tao coastline. Layan is quieter than the main Bang Tao stretch, with fewer tourists and less development. The sand is soft, the water is clear, and you won’t be fighting for space with a hundred other sunbeds. The hotel opened recently and still feels new.
There are 307 rooms, including family rooms and two-bedroom suites for larger groups. Three restaurants cover different cuisines, plus two bars, including a rooftop grill where you can watch the sunset over the Andaman Sea. The pool area is large with plenty of loungers, and there’s a spa if parents need some time away from the kids. Layan Beach has a few local restaurants within walking distance, but you’ll need transport to reach Boat Avenue or the main Bang Tao area. Good option for families who want beach access without the crowds further south.
