Bang Tao Beach Photo Gallery

Bang Tao Beach is one of the longest beaches in Phuket, stretching about 6 kilometres along the west coast. The beach is part of the Laguna Phuket resort complex, but most of the sand is open to everyone. The northern section is quieter and more natural, while the central and southern parts have more beach clubs, restaurants, and resort access points.

The sand is soft, and the water is calm during the high season. Bang Tao is wide enough that it never feels crowded, even when the beach clubs are busy. Catch Beach Club and Carpe Diem are two of the most popular spots on this stretch. The nearby Layan Beach at the northern end is even quieter.

The area behind the beach has grown a lot in recent years, with new restaurants, cafes, and shops along the main road. The Boat Avenue shopping area is a short drive from the beach.

I have been photographing Bang Tao Beach since the early 2000s, and the gallery includes shots of the beach, the beach clubs, and some of the hotels in the area. All photos are my own. For the full travel guide, see Bang Tao Beach.
