Nai Harn Beach Photo Gallery

Nai Harn Beach is one of the most popular beaches in southern Phuket, tucked into a wide bay surrounded by green hills. The beach is about 700 metres long, with fine white sand and clear water that stays calm during most of the high season.

A large lake sits just behind the beach, separated from the sea by a strip of sand. The area around the lake is shaded by trees and is a popular spot for afternoon walks. Nai Harn is especially popular with locals and expats, giving it a different feel from the more touristy beaches further north.

There are no big hotels directly on the beach. The only large property overlooking the bay is The Nai Harn resort, set on the hillside at the southern end. Nearby, Ya Nui Beach and Promthep Cape are just a short drive along the coast.

I have been photographing Nai Harn Beach since the late 1990s. The photos in this gallery cover the beach in different seasons and light conditions, from calm high-season mornings to dramatic monsoon skies. All photos are my own. For the full travel guide, see Nai Harn Beach.
