Naithon Noi Beach is one of the few ‘private beaches of Phuket’ as well as one of the most beautiful. Located near Phuket International airport on the west coast of the island, Naithon Noi Beach is often called ‘Andaman White Beach’, from the name of the resort that occupies the entire land around it.
The best beaches for surfing in Phuket are all located along the west coast, where you can get decent wave action. Waves are not huge but are great for beginners, and competitions are frequent during the low season.

Ta Khai Restaurant is a beautiful Thai restaurant nestled on the secluded beach of Tri Trang and part of the new luxurious Rosewood resort. Located just a couple of kilometres from Patong Beach, it is a surprise to find such an oasis of peace by the sea, a perfect setting for a romantic dinner. The superb rustic design of Ta Khai is made of repurposed materials and inspired by small Thai villages. The restaurant is set in a garden by the sea, under large trees giving shade to several wooden houses.
There are so many restaurants in Patong Beach; you would think that finding great Thai food would be easy. But if you know Thailand, you soon will realise that too many of them serve a toned-down version of Thai cuisine or something very far from local food.
Naughty Nuri’s in Patong Beach is famous for their Nuri’s signature ribs and piglets (Babi Guling a la Nuri’s). The restaurant is vast and welcoming, and the staff is known to be friendly and cheerful.
Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach combines many features for a great holiday if you are searching for reasonable mid-range accommodation in Phuket. The hotel is right on the beach of Kamala, a unique and much sought-after feature on the island. There are nine room types, including affordable pool rooms and a cool rooftop bar! We had to go and check this for ourselves.
