Ska Bar is a small but iconic Reggae bar built in the shade of an immense tree, right on the beach in Kata. This unique setting makes it a perfect spot to end your day on the beach, even if you are not a Reggae fan. The atmosphere is relaxing, the view of the bay beautiful, and while you can’t really see the sunset from the bar itself, you can admire the sky colours reflecting on the wet sand.
Ska Bar is part of the Kata Seafood restaurant, which is also right on the beach. The Thai food served is not exceptional, but it’s a convenient place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner without having to go back to that back road of Kata beach where most of the restaurants are.
Kata seafood has two floors overlooking the beach, so getting a table with a view is quite easy. To reach Ska Bar and Kata Seaview Restaurant is quite tricky. There is a very narrow alley leading to it from the back street, but there is no car park, just enough to park a motorbike. Most people park near the beach and walk on the sand to get there.
