Spice by Sugar and Spice is Khun Ohn’s second restaurant in Kata Beach. It’s 800 meters south of the first Sugar and Spice. It’s located 70 meters down Soi Casa del Sol making your dining experience peaceful as there is less road noise from vehicles going past. It’s a busy walking street full of traditional massage shops, restaurants, and the Tuana Hotel. A bar at the head of the soi has live music in the evenings. It’s an up-and-coming soi in Kata. It’s 300 meters from the beach.

The restaurant specializes in good traditional homemade Thai food but if you’re not in the mood, they also serve Scandinavian dishes, Russian favourites, and American fare including BBQ ribs, sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips! It’s a family-style restaurant so there’s something for everyone including keeping children of all ages fed and happy. For adults they also serve excellent cocktails and the beer is cold. Customers are welcome to bring in their own wine or other adult beverages for a very small corkage fee.

The location down the soi makes dining more peaceful than other restaurants in the area located on the busy main road. Spice was opened in April 2023, and is gaining in popularity. It already has fantastic Google reviews.

The menu is very long and well illustrated making it easy to point and order both food and drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful, service is quick and efficient.
