Great Thai Food in Kata Beach

Sugar and Spice is very popular for serving excellent traditional Thai food at the right price in Kata Beach. If, for some odd reason, you’re not in the mood for Thai food, they also serve Scandinavian dishes, Russian favourites, and American fare, including BBQ ribs, sandwiches, burgers, and fish and chips! It’s a family-style restaurant, so there’s something for everyone, including keeping children of all ages fed and happy. For adults, they also serve excellent cocktails, and the beer is cold. Customers are welcome to bring their own wine or other adult beverages for a small corkage fee.

This location gets a lot of foot traffic as everyone has to walk by the restaurant to get to the beach or other parts of Kata Beach. Kata Road has the Kata Night Market and the very local Mae Somjit Market. The restaurant is busy and vibrant all year round.

The menu is very long and well illustrated, making ordering food and drinks easy by just pointing. The staff is friendly and welcoming, calling in tourists as they walk past the restaurant. Several of the staff, including the owner, Khun Ohn, are fluent in English. Other staff speak some Russian and Chinese, enough to put a smile on customers’ faces and take their orders efficiently and correctly.
