M Social Hotel Phuket is a 5-star hotel with one of the most strategic locations on Patong Beach. It’s built directly into the Jungceylon shopping centre. Walk out of your room, and you’re already in the mall. Bangla Road is right next door. The beach is about 10 minutes on foot. For travellers who want everything within reach, this location is hard to beat.

The hotel was completely renovated in late 2023 when it changed from Millennium Resort to M Social. The new look targets a younger crowd with bold colours and tech features. Every room has an AI voice assistant called Aiello that controls the lights and air conditioning. It’s a bit gimmicky, but guests seem to enjoy it.

Two Wings, Two Personalities

M Social has 418 rooms split between two wings. The Afterglow wing is closer to Bangla Road and the nightlife. The Sunkissed wing is set further back and much quieter.

Here’s the honest trade-off. If you stay in Afterglow, you’ll hear bass from nearby clubs until 4 am. That’s the price for being steps from the action. Sunkissed guests sleep better but walk a bit further to reach everything.
Room types range from the standard Social Room at 35 sqm up to the M Social Suite at 70 sqm. The Social Signature rooms include a private terrace with a jacuzzi and direct pool access.

Pools and Facilities

Each wing has its own pool. The Sunkissed pool gets better sun and feels more relaxed. The Afterglow pool is more social but can get crowded. Neither is a proper resort-style swimming pool, so adjust your expectations.
The gym is small. Fine for cardio, but serious gym-goers will want to look elsewhere.

Dining at M Social

Beast & Butterflies in the Sunkissed wing handles breakfast and serves Thai fusion for dinner. The breakfast buffet is solid.
Bincho Izakaya in the Afterglow wing does Japanese food and cocktails. Good spot for drinks before heading out to Bangla.
Of course, you’re inside Jungceylon. Dozens of restaurants are literally a few steps away.

Who Should Stay Here

M Social works best for travellers who prioritise location and nightlife over beach access. Couples and solo travellers who want to be in the middle of Patong’s energy will love it. Families or anyone wanting a quiet resort experience should look at Four Points by Sheraton Patong or Hotel Indigo instead.
