Indoor Go-Kart Racing at Jungceylon Patong
Power Drive is an indoor electric go-kart track on the 3rd floor of the Jungle Building at Jungceylon in Patong Beach. The 203-metre track is fully air-conditioned, runs over two levels with elevation changes, and uses silent electric karts. It opened after the 2024 Jungceylon renovation and has become one of the most popular rainy-day activities in Phuket. Three kart types cover everyone from 7-year-old kids to experienced adult racers. A standard race is 10 minutes, and booking in advance is strongly recommended to secure a time slot.
The Track
The track is 203 metres long with 6 turns of different shapes, 2 high-speed straightaways, and 2 upper sections with elevation changes. Average lap time is around 30 seconds for a skilled driver. The two-level design is unusual for an indoor track in Thailand and makes it more technical than standard flat circuits. The karts are electric, so there are no petrol fumes and the noise level is low enough for children and spectators to enjoy without ear protection. A comfortable spectator lounge runs alongside the track, with drinks, snacks, and a clear view of the racing. Parents can sit and watch their kids race in full air-conditioned comfort.
Three Types of Electric Karts
Each kart type is designed for a specific age, height, and weight range. The constraints below are from the official site and are strictly enforced at check-in.
| Kart | Top Speed | Age | Height | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PROFI Kart | 80 km/h | 21+ | 160 – 185 cm | under 90 kg |
| MINI Kart | 40 km/h | 15+ | 140 – 175 cm | under 75 kg |
| KID Kart | 32 km/h | 7+ | 110 – 130 cm | under 30 kg |
The PROFI Kart is the one adults come for. Instant electric acceleration, proper braking, and 80 km/h top speed on a 203-metre indoor track is genuinely fast. The MINI Kart is the most popular choice for teenagers and average adult racers who want the fun without the full intensity. The KID Kart is stable and safe enough for young children to drive alone, which is unusual for a track of this quality.

Gift Cards

Safety and Rules
Motorsport carries real risk, and Power Drive takes safety seriously. Every driver signs a liability waiver and completes a short safety briefing before racing. Closed-toe shoes are required, and long hair must be tied back and tucked into the helmet or clothing. Seat belts and neck collars are provided and must be worn at all times. Pregnant women and anyone with heart disease, epilepsy, neck or back injuries, or certain medical conditions are not permitted to drive. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Drivers need to bring ID to check-in. A refundable 1,000 Baht security deposit is required on-site before racing. If you damage a kart or the track barriers, the deposit is kept and a further 1,000 Baht fine is charged. Online tickets and late arrivals are non-refundable.
Why It Works Well in Patong
Patong is a beach town, and the afternoon heat or a heavy rainstorm can write off outdoor plans quickly. Power Drive is indoor, air-conditioned, and within walking distance of every hotel in central Patong. It is one of the few activities in the area that actually benefits from bad weather. Families with mixed ages find it especially useful because all three kart types run on the same track, so parents and children can race in the same session.
