Churrasco Phuket Steakhouse

An excellent steakhouse at Jungceylon in Patong Beach

Churrasco Phuket Steakhouse is an excellent restaurant conveniently located in the Garden Zone of the popular Jungceylon shopping mall in Patong Beach, close to the famous Bangla Road where all famous nightlife is. The restaurant was first opened in 2012 by two friends who lived in South America for a long time and decided to share their knowledge and experience with Phuket travellers and long-time expats. It has become one of the best steakhouses in Phuket, if not the best, considering the excellent prices!

We visited the restaurant without informing to get a real experience, just like any customer would get, and we were very pleased with the food, the setting of the restaurant, and the friendly and helpful service. The steakhouse offers a unique dining experience with its traditional Brazilian barbecue called “churrasco”.

We sat inside a large, cosy dining room and were very pleased with the comfortable sitting, which we found worth mentioning. We looked at the appetizing and well-illustrated menu and the choice was so vast it took us some time to pick!

We appreciated the three ordering options: Lady’s cut 200 grams, Men’s cut 300 grams, and the Gaucho cut 400 grams. They also have 3 menus for kids (up to 12 years old) at 280 baht, which will look very tempting to kids: Pork sausage with mashed potatoes, chicken nuggets with french fries, etc…

There are starters: chili con carne (350 baht), nachos tijuana (290 baht), calamares fritos (350 baht), and more. There are plenty of salads, pasta, burgers, and then the reason we visited: meat!

After browsing the tempting menu, we finally settled for a 200-gram Wagyu Picanha Brasileira Steak (990 baht) served with Chimichurri sauce and a large Beef Skewer (590 baht) served with a delicious baked potato and a mixed side salad (90 baht). Both types of meat were great and perfectly cooked medium rare. The top of the line is the Wagyu Picanha Brasileira 300 grams (1,390 baht)… it’ s so worth it!

 

The skewer, called Brochetta ‘El Senor’, was lean, and 590 baht for 300 grams is very reasonably priced if you like lean meat. The Wagyu was the winner, one of the best we had in Phuket!

We were very satisfied with our dinner and will certainly come back, especially to try more of their Wagyu Supersteaks as they call them: Wagyu Maminha de Alcatra (200 grams, 790 baht) and Wagyu Solomillo de Ternera (200 grams, 690 baht).
