Where to Eat in Karon Beach?
Karon Beach offers a wide range of restaurants where everyone can find something to enjoy, from Thai food to Middle Eastern and Western Cuisine. On the budget side, you will find good local food in the small restaurants along the roadside, near the lake and even more at Karon Plaza not far from the circle. The town of Karon, a busy street that starts at the runabout with a tall white statue in the north end of Karon, has a vast choice of places to eat all day.

Tann Terrace
Tann Terrace is a new restaurant with an immense beachfront wooden terrace at the very south of Karon Beach, just next to Beyond Resort Karon and opposite the old football stadium. The restaurant mostly serves Italian and Thai food and has an excellent bakery, perfect for enjoying breakfast on the beach.

The Pad Thai Shop
The Pad Thai Shop is a tiny restaurant on the side of the back road of Karon Beach. It’s so small and modest; you would drive past it without paying much attention if it wasn’t for its growing reputation and a large yellow signboard that says ‘The Pad Thai Shop’. Despite its success, the shop owner probably chose not to change anything about the shop. Bare wood and brick walls, concrete roof, plastic chairs and plates and a bare black stove as old local shops usually are.

Two Chefs Karon Beach
Two Chefs is a popular and long-established small franchise in Phuket. The restaurant serves good food at excellent prices, with as incredibly vast range of dishes from Thai food, western and Mexican dishes as well as beers and well-priced wines.

Karon Plaza
Karon Plaza, situated on Beach Road in Karon Beach, is a dynamic marketplace that caters to visitors by offering an extensive variety of products and foods. This bazaar is ideally located, only a short stroll from the beach and in close proximity to Karon Circle, making it easily accessible on foot, by car, or by motorbike.
With an array of vendors selling colourful and diverse products, including clothing, souvenirs, jewellery, handicrafts, and accessories, Karon Plaza is a lively and vivid spot. Note that the prices of the bazaar itself may not be as budget-friendly as you expect, but the food area is ok.
Daeng Restaurant
Daeng Restaurant is a beachfront local venue located right on the sand of Karon Beach, next to Centara Grand Beach Resort Karon, which is a rare setting in this area. The restaurant has a laid-back and casual atmosphere, with open-air seating that overlooks the beach and the Andaman Sea. The decor is simple and rustic, with plastic tables and chairs, and tropical plants adding a touch of greenery.

Seafood restaurants by the lake
For seafood or Thai food, you can choose one of the many small restaurants in front of the stadium or those by the lake. They are relatively cheap, and while they are not serving haute cuisine, they have a unique exotic charm and a beach view.
It would be difficult to recommend one in particular, so walk around and look at the well-illustrated menu always displayed in front. They also serve a decent European breakfast of eggs or omelette, toast with butter and jam, sausages and bacon. It’s simple but goes so well with the beach to start the day!
Karon Avenue
Karon Avenue is a small complex of restaurants, bars and shops located by the lake in Karon Beach, at a short walking distance from the main street of Karon. Finally, after decades of trying to become a shopping and dining destination, Karon Avenue seems to have found the right formula. Expect to find a few Thai restaurants with a terrace over the lake, Crown Lakeview Restaurant serving seafood, a Sushi restaurant, Capricorn Italian Restaurant, and a large 7-11 convenience store.

North Karon roadside restaurants
Just before reaching the hill that leads to Kata Beach, visitors can see a line of small seafood restaurants. The fresh seafood is kept on ice in front of the restaurants and you can pick what you want them to cook, or choose and Thai dish directly from their menu. It’s quite cheap and has a fun local feel to it.
Karon Beach Square at Paradox Hotel
Karon Beach Square offers plenty of dining and drinking options with great music, such as Brazilian Churrasco, Thai Cuisine and a bakery. The many large sofas that look like outdoor beds are perfect for hanging after a hard walking day, perfecting to enjoy the evening al fresco!
The Dim Sun Rooftop Restaurant
The Dim Sun is a large rooftop terrace located on the top of Avista Grande Phuket Karon in the south of Karon Beach, offering sunset views over the Andaman Sea. It is the perfect way to end your happy exploration day with excellent cocktails and a romantic candle dinner! The rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the sea and a poolside bar that serves light snacks and drinks. The food is of high quality, and there are plenty of options to choose from, whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a family-friendly meal.
