Centara Karon Resort Phuket is a large family-focused resort that completed a major renovation in late 2024. It’s about 400 metres to the beautiful beach of Karon.

The resort is in a very convenient location, right in Karon town centre with restaurants, shops, and nightlife on your doorstep. That central location works well for families who want to explore without needing taxis everywhere. The property spreads across four residential zones with 316 rooms in landscaped gardens. A new villa development with private pools opened in November 2025.

The Rooms

The resort is divided into four zones, each with a different feel.

The Terraces is the main nine-storey tower, best suited for couples and small families. Superior rooms run 28-32 sqm with balconies offering city or ocean views. Some suites have private outdoor jacuzzis.
The Lagoon puts families right next to the waterslides and splash zone. Deluxe Pool View rooms are 45 sqm with king or two double bed options. These fit 2 adults plus 2 children, making them the best choice for families.
Tropicale has larger rooms at 36-45 sqm with spacious living areas. Good for families wanting more space without going full villa.
The Cabanas offer semi-detached garden villas from 58 sqm with private terraces and plunge jacuzzis. Maximum privacy here.
The new Centara Karon Villas next door opened in November 2025. One-bedroom villas start at 69 sqm, two-bedroom villas at 108 sqm, and three-bedroom villas at 134 sqm. All have private pools.

The Restaurants at Centara Karon Resort

Bistro Grill & Bar is the main restaurant serving international and Thai food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They run an all-you-can-eat option with affordable wines.
Escape Pool Club serves modern Italian and grilled dishes poolside. They host themed parties, including Luau nights and glow-in-the-dark evenings.
Pink Social works as a café during the day with pastries and coffee, then transforms into a cocktail bar at night.
Three pool bars keep you hydrated: Tropix and Koh Kool serve tropical cocktails and light bites, while Splash Deck is the swim-up bar at the base of the Terraces tower.

Facilities

Three swimming pools are spread across the resort. The main pool complex covers 3,000 sqm with waterslides and fountains, plus a dedicated children’s pool. The Lagoon pool connects directly to poolside rooms with shallow areas for families. The Terraces pool feels calmer. All three have swim-up bars.

SPA Cenvaree offers Thai massage, aromatherapy, body scrubs, and couples treatments. Sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are included. The fitness centre has a full gym plus yoga classes.

Tennis courts and a playground round out the facilities.

Kids Club
