Wat Wichit Sangkharam (วัดวิชิตสังฆาราม), commonly known as Wat Kuan (วัดควน) is a significant Buddhist temple located on Narisorn Road in Phuket Town. Commonly referred to by locals as “Wat Kuan,” the temple is situated on a hillside and features a multi-tiered layout. The first level houses the sermon hall, the second level contains the monastic school, and the third level includes the ordination hall, the enshrinement hall of Luang Pho Khao, and monk residences. The temple is known for its peaceful atmosphere and traditional Thai architecture.

Established in 1918, Wat Wichit Sangkharam received its royal charter on August 23, 1934. The temple has played a vital role in the religious and educational development of the local community. It serves as a centre for Buddhist studies, offering Pali and Dhamma teachings to monks and novices. Over the years, the temple has been a focal point for various religious ceremonies and community events, reflecting its enduring significance in Phuket’s cultural and spiritual landscape.
