Restaurant at Porto de Phuket in Bang Tao Beach
The Farmer and The Fisherman is an excellent new restaurant that opened recently at the popular Porto de Phuket shopping village in Bang Tao Beach, just next to Boat Avenue. We stopped for a casual dinner and were pleased with how good the food was, as well as the service, which is an important factor for a great dining experience. The Farmer and The Fisherman is the Phuket branch of ‘Ginber Farm Kitchen’ a very popular restaurant which is listed in the Michelin Guide, originally from Chiang Mai, but also available in Bangkok.
What we ordered
The menu is long and very creative, and so well-illustrated, we wanted to order everything!
We tried the deep-fried Phuket barracuda with crispy turmeric and garlic served with seafood dip (595 baht) and a rib eye cooked to perfection. We ended with a delicious Mango Sticky rice. Next time, we will try their recommended Thai Tom Yum Paella with mussels, prawns and squids (995 Baht) or the Fisherman Platter with deep-fried squids, prawns and fish, fries and mussels (890 Baht)
Other recommended dishes: seared Salmon with Pesto Sauce on walnuts, Roasted Potatoes, fresh salad with Light mustard vinaigrette or Steamed Seabass with spicy chilli and lime sauce.
