Nanami Yakiniku at Boat Avenue Bang Tao
Nanami Yakiniku is a Japanese BBQ restaurant run by a Japanese owner, located on Boat Avenue in Cherngtalay, near Bang Tao Beach, on the west coast of Phuket. The restaurant serves a wide range of imported and local beef and pork, but also sushi and sashimi. Nanami Yakikniku is set in a large house near the lake and the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming with seating inside and outdoors.
Each table has its own grill using real charcoal, adding a nice smell to the meat. The grill comes with powerful ventilation which is an important feature in this kind of restaurant, as you won’t walk away with a strong smoke smell attached to your clothes after dinner.
The menu is well presented and well illustrated to help you make your selection. Nanami has an attractive collection of Wagyu beef sets, starting at 900 baht, which is very reasonable, maybe even cheap. The Yaki Shabu set starts at 784 baht, then you have plenty of choices: Wagyu roast 780 baht, chuck plate 620 baht. Jyo roast 980 baht, Karubi 980 baht, rib eye and sirloin 1,450 baht.
If you are not into beef, you can enjoy a delicious pork set at 480 baht only. Of course, meat imported from Japan will always be more expensive, so Nanami Yakiniku offers a good choice of local beef as well, starting at 390 baht only!
Nanami Yakiniku also offers a wide choice of sake, beers and soft drinks.
