A Bakery in Bang Tao Beach

Au Bon Pain is a bakery café known for its wide range of bread, pastries, sandwiches, salads and even soups. With the arrival of three new shops in Phuket (Two in Patong Beach and one in Boat Avenue Bang Tao), travellers can enjoy a wide array of freshly baked confections served in a cosy atmosphere.

Whether you’re craving breakfast, lunch or just a snack, there will be croissants, sandwiches, and salads with a bowl of soup, together with drinks, coffees and mocktails.

The Location

There are three new branches of Au Bon Pain in Phuket and we enjoyed the one at Boat Avenue near Bang Tao Beach. If you are familiar with the area, it is important to note that Au Bon Pain is not in the main hub of Boat Avenue, but in the nearby new complex called Boat Avenue Park and Playground, which is located 700 m further, on the shortcut to Phuket International Airport, which makes it a very convenient stop before your flight!

The bakery has a terrace surrounded by a garden, and the indoor seating makes Au Bon Pain at Boat Avenue a workspace too.

Pastries

A list of bread to prepare sandwiches or take home: Artisan Sourdough (240 baht), White Sourdough (230 baht), Multi Malt Bread (280 baht), Ciabatta Bread (55 baht), Milano Pocket (75 baht), Foccacia (290 baht), Baguette (75 baht)

 

Sandwiches

Sautéed Mussel Tartine: Sautéed mussell with cream sauce and parmesan cheese on baguette (320 baht). Prawn Cream Sauce Vol-Au_Vent: Vol Au Vent with sautéed prawn cream sauce (250 baht), Paris Ham Egg Benedict: two poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce on Paris ham (230 baht), Cheesy Grilled Sandwich (200 baht)

 

Bagels

Bagels are another feature in this branch of Au Bon Pain, with a selection of bagels with Cream Cheese (95 baht), Bagel Egg and Cheddar (115 baht), and best of all: Bagel Egg, Bacon and Cheddar (150 baht). You can choose your bagel to be prepared with plain, whole wheat, sesame, onion, or even all these mixed.

Salads and Wraps
