A notable figure in the temple’s history is Phra Khru Nat Thammarat (Luang Pho Daeng), who served as abbot until his passing in 2012. His contributions to the temple and community are commemorated annually, with a memorial pavilion housing his likeness situated at the rear of the temple grounds.

Wat Mai Khao

Visitors to Wat Mai Khao can experience the serene atmosphere of the temple, participate in daily chanting and meditation sessions, and observe the monks’ disciplined routines. The temple grounds also feature a bird sanctuary in the back, near the beach, providing a tranquil environment for reflection.
