A relaxed beach club on Bang Tao Beach

Xana Beach Club is part of the Angsana Laguna Phuket Resort and one of the popular beach clubs in Phuket. Xana is a cool place to spend an entire day on the beautiful Bang Tao Beach. The concept is to offer the most excellent lazy experience, starting from a laid-back afternoon in the swimming pool or the sea, eating on the beach and continuing with some party until late at night.

Set right on the beach right in front of the resort, this exclusive beach club is part of the emerging new face of Phuket where people can enjoy beautifully designed venues. A beach club is a place for those for whom a regular beach chair is just not enough.

Relaxing in the loungers partly immersed in the shallow part of the 35-meter-long swimming pool is a great way to escape the day’s heat. It’s tempting unless your neighbour has loud kids, which unfortunately happened when we visited. Nevertheless, with some chill-out music in the background, it’s great to be able to walk from the sea into the pool.

Later on, slowly drag yourself out of your water bed into the very comfortable round sofas disseminated on the soft sand facing the sea and enjoy Phuket’s famous sunsets with a cocktail in hand. Sitting in those sofas is how real tropical holidays are supposed to be (assuming there is a sunset).

Food is available from 11 am to 10 pm, and the menu is comprehensive: hamburgers, sandwiches and wraps, tapas, oysters, moules, tacos and Thai food. Their cocktail list and wine collection are large enough to keep you happy all day. With a massive sound system, Xana Beach Club also hosts occasional parties with international DJs (but not on a daily or regular basis).
