One of the best Beach Clubs in Phuket, Carpe Diem on Bang Tao Beach, serves appetising Mediterranean and Italian cuisine with creative cocktails and a long list of fine wines. Because the beach in front of the club is not very wide, people come here for drinks, dinner, and to enjoy great music at the end of their day.

Carpe Diem is at the very south of Bang Tao Beach, where the beach is more of a fishermen’s boat anchorage than a swimming spot. The long tail boats peacefully floating in front of the restaurant add an authentic Thai touch to the landscape, and visitors seem to enjoy taking fun Instagram photos in the tropical setting.

As you arrive in the vast manicured entrance garden, you instantly notice how beautifully designed Carpe Diem is, with plenty of tables by the sea and tall coconut trees in between. On one side, a curved thatched roof covers a separate dining area in case of rain. A vast rectangular central bar adds a luxury touch to the whole place. A lot of attention was paid to lighting, creating a soft, relaxing atmosphere in which customers could enjoy an intimate ambience in an open space.

The menu at Carpe Diem features Mediterranean and Italian favourites that cater to different tastes. We found the wood-fired pizzas particularly noteworthy, with classics like Margherita, Diavola with spicy sausage, and Prosciutto Crudo with Parma ham and rocket. The Tartufo pizza stands out with its combination of taleggio, scamorza, gorgonzola, and white truffle.

For seafood lovers, the restaurant offers dishes like Fresh Tuna Niçoise salad, grilled Branzino (sea bass), and Bouillabaisse. The seafood platter has received positive reviews from visitors who praised its freshness and presentation. Those preferring meat can choose from options like T-Bone Fiorentina and Lamb Souvlaki.

Light dishes include popular choices like Carpaccio di Polipo, Carpaccio di Manzo, and Gambas Pil Pil. We also noticed they serve classic starters such as Chilled Gazpacho and Greek Salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, olives, and feta cheese. The Tapas Platter offers an assortment of meats, cheeses, olives, and fresh vegetables with artisan bread.
