Andaman Seaview Hotel

3-star Hotel in Karon Beach

Andaman Seaview Hotel is a 3-star property at the southern end of Karon Beach with 161 rooms in Sino-Portuguese style. The beach is about 100 metres away, a 2-minute walk across Karon Road. You’re between Karon and Kata here, which means easy access to both beaches and plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms are larger than most hotels in this price range, and the Deluxe category at 98 sqm feels more like a small apartment.

Location

Andaman Seaview Hotel

The hotel sits on a quiet side street one block back from the seafront. Karon Beach takes 2-3 minutes on foot. Kata Beach is about 15-20 minutes walking or a quick tuk-tuk ride. A bus stop directly opposite runs to Patong and Phuket Town. The area has massage shops, minimarts, and small restaurants within walking distance.

Rooms

Four room types are available. The Superior Room at 40 sqm fits 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children under 12. You get a king bed or a queen plus single bed configuration. Every room has a balcony, a bathtub with a separate rain shower, and tea and coffee facilities.

The Deluxe Room jumps to 98 sqm with a separate living area, dining table, double bathroom sinks, and a sofa bed. Same occupancy as Superior, but much more space to spread out.

Deluxe Pool Access rooms have terraces stepping directly into the pool. Only 2 of these exist.

The Deluxe Suite Family Room is built for larger families. Two queen beds plus a sofa bed, sleeping 4 adults or 2 adults with 3 children. Nine rooms are available in this category.

Nice extras in all rooms: wicker beach bag, two umbrellas, bathrobes, and decent toiletries.

Pools

Two outdoor pools plus a dedicated children’s pool. The main pool wraps around the ground floor with a bridge crossing it, more for lounging than serious swimming. A pool bar serves drinks and snacks. The kids’ pool is shallow and partially shaded.

Pools open from 8 am to 8 pm. Sun loungers can be hard to grab during busy periods, a common complaint at hotels this size.

Food

Maneekram Restaurant overlooks the pool and serves all meals. Breakfast runs from 7 am to 10:30 am with a buffet plus cooked-to-order eggs. Thai and Western options rotate daily. Lunch is 12 pm to 5 pm, dinner 6 pm to 9 pm, both à la carte.

The selection works fine for a few days. Longer stays, and you’ll probably want to explore the restaurants in Karon and Kata.

Facilities

A small gym with basic cardio and weights. Samunprai Spa offers Thai massages and treatments from 11 am to 8 pm. Sauna available. Free parking on site, though it’s open-air with no covered spaces.

What’s Great For Kids

No kids’ club. The family-friendly swimming pool is designed with safety in mind. Parents can relax on sun loungers while children play in the secure pool environment.

Room options include twin/double rooms, standard rooms with queen or two full beds, and family rooms with two full beds or a sofa bed plus queen. Rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a seating area, a refrigerator, and a balcony.

500 feet walk to Karon Beach. The beach has soft sand and gentle waves, good for children building sandcastles. Maneekram Restaurant serves Thai and international dishes with kid-friendly options. Use code “MAIFAM” when booking directly for special family benefits.

Good for: Budget-conscious families wanting a small hotel close to the beach without resort prices.
