Just next to Proud Phuket is a beautiful Thai temple called Wat Mongkhon Wararam or Wat Nai Yang. It is a modest place but much revered. Since you can freely enter the grounds of the temple, it is a chance for travellers to get a glimpse of Thai culture. Just remember not to wear too revealing attire, and to remove your shoes if you wish to enter one of the buildings.
