An Art Gallery and Community in Rawai
Phuket Art Village is a small art gallery and artist community hidden at the end of a small lane, on the way to Rawai Beach, in the south of Phuket Island. The place is surprising and fun to explore, consisting of several little galleries, each with its own style and artist.
The crew is friendly and clearly very passionate about their creations, and the galleries are a true testimony to their creativity and talent. As this is a permanent exhibition, most items on display are for sale. We had the chance to see one of the artists working on his latest paintings, specially created for a competition, and it was indeed beautiful.
Once done with your exploration, whether you bought something or not, climb up the stairs to the small makeshift rooftop in the trees and enjoy a tea, coffee or a beer.

What’s around?
Born in France a long long time ago, I started to travel the world early until I settled in Phuket in 1994. For the past 30 years, my passion for photography and my curiosity have taken me to every corner of Phuket, Bangkok and everywhere I could go in Thailand. My goal is to share my discoveries, photos and tips to help travellers plan their holidays by making Phuket 101 as easy as possible to use for everyone!
