The vibrant nightlife of Bangla Road is just a short tuk-tuk ride away. You can even walk there if you don’t mind a casual wal,k as there are many restaurants, bars and shops to enjoy on the way. The hotel is big but spacious, with large rooms and vast swimming pools in large central areas, so it is not crowded.

While the front of the hotel is just across the street from the beach, the back is very near the popular OTOP Night Market, where guests can enjoy fun shopping and cheap but good local food.

It’s not very high but enjoyable, and it’s open to outside guests if you want to enjoy a cocktail.

Oceanfront Beach Resort

Oceanfront Beach Resort & Spa is located along the coastal road of Kalim Beach, just north of Patong in Phuket. The resort faces Kalim Beach directly across the road, but the beach there is mostly rocky and not ideal for swimming. It is better for a quiet walk or sunset photos. For better swimming conditions, Patong Beach is a much better option. The sandy part of Patong starts about 1.5 kilometres from the resort, making it a short drive or a 20-minute walk.

They have a free shuttle running regularly, which makes it easy. The hotel itself is modern, with large rooms, a couple of pools, a gym, and a few restaurants. It’s a good place if you want to stay somewhere a bit quieter but still be close enough to Patong’s busy beach, shops, and nightlife when you feel like going out.

LIV Hotel Phuket Patong Beachfront is a small and modern hotel located at the quiet south end of Patong, right next to HOMM Bliss Southbeach. It’s just across the road from the beach and very close to the floating pier where longtail boats depart for Freedom Beach, a beautiful, hidden bay just a short ride away.

While the hotel is in a prime location, most of the rooms do not have sea views, as the building faces sideways. A few rooms at the front can catch a glimpse of the sea, but it’s not the main highlight here. The focus is more on the convenience of being very close to the beach without paying high beachfront prices.

The hotel features a small rooftop pool with partial views of the bay, and a cosy restaurant on the ground floor that serves Thai and Western dishes. Rooms are simple but clean and well-equipped, with modern decor and good bedding.

LIV Hotel is a good choice for travellers who want to stay near the beach and Freedom Beach pier, in a quieter part of Patong that’s still just a short tuk-tuk ride away from the main nightlife and shopping areas.

Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa is set on the hillside at the northern end of Patong Beach. It’s not right on the sand, but the beach is very close — it takes about two minutes to walk down from the hotel. We just had to cross the road in front, and the sandy part of Patong Beach was right there. The beach is good for swimming, unlike Kalim Beach, a bit further up the road, which is mostly rocky.

The hotel is in a quieter part of Patong, which suited us well. The busy area with shops, restaurants, and nightlife is about 2 kilometres away. It’s easy to reach with a short tuk-tuk ride or even a long walk if you feel like it.

The rooms at Diamond Cliff are spacious and a bit more classic in style, but they are very comfortable and clean. Most have balconies with great sea views. The resort also has two big swimming pools, a spa, a fitness centre, and a few restaurants. We liked the peaceful atmosphere after a day in town. It’s a good option for those who want to be near Patong Beach but not right in the middle of the noise.

From the lobby, it takes about five minutes to walk down a steep road to reach Patong Beach. The beach at this end is sandy and good for swimming, with fewer crowds compared to the centre of Patong.

We found the location very convenient. It feels peaceful up at the hotel, with nice views of the bay, but if you want more action, the busy part of Patong with restaurants, shops, and nightlife is just a short tuk-tuk ride away. It’s about 2 km from the main area, depending on where you go.

The hotel is large and has a slightly classic style. Rooms are comfortable and most have balconies facing the sea. One of the highlights is the three-tiered swimming pool, which is great for relaxing after a day on the beach. There’s also a spa, a fitness centre, and a few restaurants on-site. If you’re looking for the more active part of Patong Beach, with shops, beach chairs, and jet skis, it’s about 1.5 kilometres north. You can walk there in 15–20 minutes or take a tuk-tuk if it’s too hot.

If you want to swim, Tri Trang Beach is just across the road and offers better conditions with a sandy bottom and calm waters during the high season.

The resort is large, tropical, and well-maintained, with three swimming pools, several restaurants, a spa, and a kids’ club. It’s very popular with couples and families looking for a quiet escape, while still being close to Patong. There are tuk-tuks always waiting in front of the hotel, and the ride to Patong takes about 10 minutes.
