American Breakfast and Coffee in a Phuket Town Shophouse
Cafe Delight is a family-run cafe and restaurant serving American-style breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee, and homemade desserts on Ratsada Road, in the middle of Phuket Old Town. The menu was prepared in California by a Thai-American family and brought to Old Town after they moved back to Thailand during COVID.
Almost everything is made from scratch on site, from the hollandaise to the New York cheesecake. It is a relaxing cafe in the old town, great for a proper breakfast before a walk around the streets.
The Cafe
Inside keeps the pink and coral colour scheme going, with terrazzo floors, an arched bar, and a long red banquette running down one wall. There is a small table for two out front and more seating upstairs.
The whole space is built for photos, so expect people taking pictures by the neon sign. WiFi is fast and free, which makes it a comfortable spot to sit and work outside the busy breakfast rush.
The Food
Breakfast runs all day, which suits the slow pace of the old town. The Avocado Toast on toasted sourdough with fried eggs and bacon is the dish most people order, and the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich on a brioche bun with Sriracha mayo is close behind.
For something bigger, look at the Waffle Fried Chicken or the Chipotle Burrito Bowl. Save room for the homemade cheesecake. These are the most popular dishes and their prices:

Coffee and Drinks
Coffee is taken seriously here. The hot cappuccino and cafe latte are reliable, and the cold menu is worth a look in the Phuket heat.
The Es-Yen Thai Iced Coffee is a double ristretto with sweet condensed milk, and the CocoCloud Delight mixes espresso with coconut juice and sweet cream. Oat and almond milk are available for any coffee, and the cold-pressed juices change daily.
Where to Cafe Delight
Cafe Delight is at 27 Ratsada Road, a short walk from Thalang Road and the old Sino-Portuguese shophouses. The pink shopfront with its cursive neon sign and string lights is easy to spot from the street.
Parking right out front is limited when it gets busy, so the side roads nearby are your best bet. The walk through the old town to reach it is a pleasant one anyway.
