About Secret Bay Phuket
Secret Bay is a tiny hidden cove on the road between Patong and Kamala on Phuket’s west coast. The bay is very small, probably less than 50 metres across, and sits at the bottom of a steep hillside. Most people drive past it without knowing it exists.
The easiest way to reach it is from the coastal road. There is a narrow path down from the roadside, steep but manageable with care. The beach itself is rocky with patches of sand, and the water is deep and clear. It is not a sunbathing beach, but it is a fantastic spot for snorkelling and jumping into the water from the rocks.
Secret Bay has become popular with Instagram photographers because of its striking turquoise water against the dark rocks. The nearby Cafe Phuket Viewpoint is just up the road, making them an easy combination for a half-day trip.
There are no facilities at the bay, so bring water and anything else you need. It is best visited during the high season when the water is calm and clear. For the full guide, see Secret Bay Phuket.
