Party Tours and Party Cruises in Phuket
Phuket’s party scene splits into two distinct experiences: daytime boat parties on the Andaman Sea and nighttime bar crawls through Patong’s Bangla Road. Both are organised tours with guides, so you do not need to plan anything yourself. They attract a young, social crowd and are a good way to meet other travellers.
Boat Parties and Party Cruises
Daytime party cruises run on large catamarans that depart from marinas on Phuket’s east coast. The route typically heads to Coral Island or Racha Island with swimming and snorkelling stops along the way. On board, there is a DJ, a welcome cocktail, a buffet lunch, and open areas for dancing. The boat’s time on the return leg so you are sailing back toward Phuket as the sun sets, which makes for a good finish to the day. Most cruises return to the marina by early evening, leaving time for dinner or a night out in Patong.
Bangla Road Bar Crawls
Guided bar crawls are the nighttime version. A local guide takes a group through two or three bars and nightclubs along Bangla Road, with free shots, club entry, and skip-the-queue access included. Tours typically start around 9:30 PM and run until late. The guide handles logistics, knows which venues have the best atmosphere on a given night, and keeps the group together. It is a practical option if you are new to Patong and want to see the nightlife without wandering blindly.
How to Choose
Boat parties and bar crawls are different enough that some people do both on the same day: cruise during the afternoon, then join a bar crawl after dinner. If you only have time for one, the boat party is the more unique experience since you can visit bars on your own, but a catamaran party on the Andaman Sea is harder to arrange independently. Solo travellers and small groups tend to get more out of the guided bar crawls, where the group format makes it easy to socialise. Both types of tour include hotel pickup and drop-off, so transport back to your hotel late at night is sorted.
