An all-day restaurant, cafe and bakery in a jungle greenhouse
Baboon Phuket is an all-day restaurant, cafe and bakery set inside a small jungle on the grounds of Three Monkeys, a few minutes south of Phuket Town. It is run by the same group as Three Monkeys and shares the same Hanuman World complex. It started as a speciality coffee and bakery spot, and the kitchen has grown into a full restaurant menu with pasta, steaks, salads, and brunch plates served from morning to evening.

The setting is the main draw. Glass walls, a tall greenhouse roof, and tropical trees grow right through the space. There is air-conditioned indoor seating, a shaded outdoor terrace, and open-air tables tucked deeper into the greenery.

The entrance is through Three Monkeys, so look for the Three Monkeys sign first when you arrive. Baboon sits behind the restaurant, connected through the same garden.
The kitchen at Baboon is a proper restaurant, not just a cafe add-on. The menu runs all day and covers pasta, grilled meats, salads, sandwiches, and brunch plates. Portions are generous and the plating is careful.
The Striploin Steak is one of the standout mains. It is served sliced, cooked to a clean medium-rare, with a green peppercorn sauce and a side of roasted root vegetables. The meat is tender and the sauce has a proper kick from the brined peppercorns.

The Creamy Parmesan Penne is the dish that gets the most attention on Instagram. The pasta is bright pink from beetroot, tossed in a parmesan cream sauce with crispy bacon bits and a parmesan crisp on the side. It looks like a gimmick but the flavour is balanced and the bacon brings real depth.
The Tuna and Orange Salad is the lighter option. Rocket leaves, flaked tuna, fresh orange segments, boiled egg, feta, and pumpkin seeds in a citrus dressing. It is a clean, well-built salad that works for a hot day.

Other dishes worth mentioning are the roasted half chicken with mushroom gravy, Swedish meatballs with lingonberry sauce, open sourdough sandwiches, smoothie bowls, and a long list of brunch plates. The kitchen runs from opening until close, so you can come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The coffee at Baboon

Baboon roasts its own beans on site. The beans are single-origin Thai Arabica from highland farms in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Doi Chang. Four house blends are on rotation:
Baboon Blend has a dark chocolate base and a strong character. Jungle Blend leans into dark chocolate with peanut and walnut notes. Jungle Juice Blend is a fermented profile with tropical jackfruit notes. Fruity Chocolate Blend is the lightest, with milk chocolate, orange, and honey.

The barista team takes coffee seriously. One of the baristas won first place at a Phuket latte art competition.
Brewing options include drip, Aeropress, and the full espresso menu. The cold brew with pistachio cream is one of the most ordered drinks. The Thai Natural Cocoa is dark and rich for non-coffee drinkers. Bags of roasted beans are sold to take home, from 450 baht for 250g.
The bakery

The bakery is the third reason to come. Everything is made on site: croissants, cruffins, danishes, cakes, and seasonal items. The strawberry croissant and pistachio croissant sell out fastest. The matcha cruffin is a regular feature. The cake counter has cheesecake, carrot cake, and a rotation of cream cakes, all sliced and ready to go with a coffee.
Good to know before you go

Baboon is about 15 minutes by car from the centre of Phuket Town, on Chao Fa Road heading south. Look for the Three Monkeys entrance. Parking is on site and free.
The place is photogenic and busy on social media, so weekends fill up around late morning. A weekday morning before 10 am is the best window for a quiet table and good light through the glass. For lunch and dinner, weekday evenings are the easiest.
There is also a small retail corner. Wooden spoons start at 140 baht, tea sets from 1,190 baht, tote bags at 690 baht, and T-shirts at 790 baht. A “Drip Experience” package is available for those who want to learn how to brew Baboon beans at home.
