Thai Seaplane currently runs two scenic flights, both 45 minutes long, both departing from Krabi International Airport. Both use the company’s Cessna 208 Caravan Amphibian, with up to 8 passengers per flight. For Phuket-based travellers, Krabi is a comfortable transfer away.
Phi Phi Vista – A 45-Minute Loop Over the Andaman’s Icons
The Phi Phi Vista flight is the most popular of the two. The route covers Maya Bay, Phi Phi Le, Phi Phi Don, and the quieter Koh Phai. From the air, the colour gradients of the water around Phi Phi shift through every shade of blue and green. The Phi Phi Le cliffs and Maya Bay look different from the sky than they do from a boat. Panyi Panorama – A 45-Minute Loop Over Phang Nga Bay
The Panyi Panorama route flies over Railay Beach, James Bond Island, Koh Panyi, and the limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay. The Company Behind Thai Seaplane
Thai Seaplane was founded in 2018 as the natural next step of Avanti Air Charter, an established private aviation operator. The team brings decades of aviation experience and worked closely with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand to develop the regulatory framework for commercial seaplane operations, which had not existed in the country for over 20 years.
In 2024, the company secured its Air Operator Certificate. In October 2025, Captain Wattanapol Intharasirithorn became the first pilot in over two decades to earn an officially endorsed SEA rating under Thai regulations, a key milestone for the company and for Thai aviation.
An Expanding Fleet
Thai Seaplane began operations with a single Cessna 208 Caravan Amphibian, registered HS-TSP. The company plans to grow its fleet progressively as water-landing approvals come through and new routes open.
