Tin Mine Restaurant

Tin Mine Restaurant

Tin Mine, the main restaurant, is where you will have your breakfast. Itโ€™s vast and open-air, surrounded by greenery like almost everything in the resort. The breakfast buffet is impressive and excellent. Again, and like in the entire resort, the mining theme is omnipresent in every detail, even in the table sets.

Kata Rock Clubhouse in Kata Beach Phuket

    Kata Rocks Clubhouse

Kata Rocks has only one restaurant serving Mediterranean and seafood cuisine, but with rooms so well designed for in-house dining, you wonโ€™t need more. Tables are along with the iconic infinity pool, so make sure you come a bit before sunset to enjoy some of Kata Rocksโ€™ famous cocktails (they even have their signature gin). As the sun disappears, the pool lights turn on, and the atmosphere becomes even more romantic, the perfect setting to enjoy the superb cuisine.

      The Harbor Restaurant

      The Harbor Restaurant

The Harbor Restaurant at The Shore at Katathani Resort on Kata Noi Beach was a lot better than most hotel restaurants we had previously tried. Set by the side of the infinity poolside and above the beach, it has a very romantic mood and offers an excellent menu and wine list. Try the Pinot Noir beef braised short ribs. These were so good that we had to order them again the next day! Prices are surprisingly reasonable, so donโ€™t be shy about ordering.

        Laimai Courtyard Restaurant

        Laimai Courtyard at Baan Laimai

Laimai Courtyard is the restaurant and relaxing area between the pool and the beach road where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. The vast area is covered with an artificial lawn, and the many trees, lights and umbrellas surrounding a thatched roof central bar create a surprisingly attractive garden atmosphere

          SIS Kata main restaurant

Twilight Sky at The Sis Kata

Twilight Sky is a vast, breezy poolside restaurant on top of The Sis Kata in Kata Beach, where guests can enjoy all their meals and drinks with a panoramic view on one side and a vast pool on the other.

Baba Soul Food restaurant at Sri Panwa Phuket

            Baba Soul Food

The Thai restaurant was maybe the least impressive because it lacked sea views (you tend to get used to this luxury at Sri Panwa), but the food was good, and the service was spotless.

Baba Hot Box BBQ and Steak House at Sri Panwa

Baba Hot Box at Sri Panwa

We were pleasantly surprised when we went to Baba Hot Box BBQ and Steak House at Sri Panwa in the south of Phuket Island. The quality of the meat, the sophisticated equipment used to cook and smoke it to perfection (a Spanish Josper BBQ) and, most importantly, the chefโ€™s skills made this evening a treat.

Baba IKI โ€“ Japanese Cuisine at Sri Panwa Phuket

                Baba IKI

We started with Baba Iki, Japanese, which served a beautifully presented and fresh choice of sashimi. The restaurant mostly consists of a single massive table designed to create a casual party atmosphere, which is a little surprising initially. The views of the ocean through the floor-to-ceiling glass walls are superb.

Sunshine view restaurant on Tri Trang Beach

                  Sunshine View Restaurant

Sunshine View Restaurant is perched on the roadside hill that leads to Paradise Beach, just past Tri Trang Beach, near Patong. The restaurant serves Indian, Thai, European, and seafood dishes (including huge prawns and Phuket lobsters) at reasonable prices

Pitbull Bar on Tri Trang Beach

                    Pitbull Bar

Pitbull Bar is a hidden bar and restaurant located next to Tri Trang Beach. Since it’s the first in the group at the bottom of the hill and its entrance is somewhat hidden under a tree, itโ€™s easy to miss. Expect drinks and simple Thai food in a colourful atmosphere, with bamboo furniture and umbrellas that create a fun, tropical vibeโ€”perfect for a holiday in Phuket.

The Cozy Cafe above Tri Trang Beach in Phuket

                      The Cozy Cafe

The Cozy Cafe is one of the few restaurants built on the hillside overlooking the south of Tri Trang Beach. The restaurant is built on the roadside and has several terraces for guests to enjoy food or drinks

Chuan Chim Restaurant in Phuket Town

                        Chuan Chim

A small local restaurant on Montri Road in Phuket Town, where most jewellery shops are. Chuan Chim is quite large, simple and spotlessly clean. The food is cheap and excellent. We loved the fried basil with minced pork or chicken and the seafood salad.

Jouet Dโ€™Art Bakery in Panwa Beach

                          Jouet Dโ€™Art Cafe

Inspired by fairy tales, Jouet Dโ€™Art (Art Toys) features Victorian-style creations within glass walls and mirrors, offering a stunning view of tranquil Panwa Beach and its glistening sea. Embracing unconventional ideas, we invite guests to embark on a sensory journey.

Brasserie C'est la Vie at BYD in Patong Beach

                            Brasserie C’est la Vie

Brasserie C’est la Vie, located in the heart of Patong, Phuket, offers a blend of traditional Thai flavours and classic French cuisine. The menu features a selection of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including seafood and meats, prepared with care by skilled chefs.

The restaurantโ€™s stylish decor provides a comfortable setting for various occasions, whether it’s a romantic dinner, a family meal, or an evening with friends. A carefully curated list of wines and cocktails is available to complement the dishes.

                              Isole Restaurant

                                Palai Seafood

                                Palai Seafood

Palai Seafood is one of the best-known seafood restaurants in Phuket. The restaurant is near Chalong, past the zoo and before Mor Mu Dong. There are quite a few seafood restaurants in this area. While Palai Seafood serves quite a decent seafood, the clientele is primarily expats and Chinese tourists. Locals tend to go to Laem Hin or Mor Mu Dong. Service is known to be a little slow, but itโ€™s still an excellent place to stop for seafood if you are around this area.

Brake Taek Noodle Soup in Phuket Town

                                  Brake Taek

Brake Taek serves a delicious and renowned โ€˜Tom Yam Noodle Soupโ€™. However, getting a table for lunch can also be difficult, and you might have to wait quite a bit. So, while waiting, order their excellent meatball skewers to keep you busy; you wonโ€™t regret it.

                                    Mee Jirayuwat Phuket

                                    Mee Jirayuwat

This local restaurant appeared in a famous Korean Magazine, and many customers are now Korean. Their speciality is a Seafood Hokkien noodle soup. Order two; you wonโ€™t regret it. Choose between โ€˜Hokkien Meeโ€™, a fat round yellow noodle, or โ€˜Ba Meeโ€™, a thin egg noodle. The noodles can be served dry or โ€˜Hangโ€™ (soup on the side). They are locatedย on Phang Nga Road in Phuket Town.

hom Restaurant at Intercontinental Phuket on Kamala Beach

                                      hom Restaurant

A dinner at Hom Restaurant at Intercontinental Phuket Resort in Kamala Beach is an experience we’ll remember for a long time. The Intercontinental name already promises luxury, and from the moment we stepped into the hotel, we could tell this place was something special.

                                        Siang Khaeng Local Restaurant Phuket

                                        Siang Khaen

Siang Khaeng is as big and basic as a warehouse but always full for dinner! The best dishes we know are Som Tam (Papaya Salad), Laab Het (Mushroom spicy hot salad), Kai, Namtok Nua (Beef Salad) and Pladook Foo (Grilled Cat Fish). But the list is extensive. Therefore, this place serves Esarn Food, which can be quite spicy (in northern Thailand). They are located on On Mae Luan Road, almost opposite the Mitsubishi Showroom.
