A Popular Music Bar in Patong Beach
Red Hot bar sits right at the intersection of Bangla Road and Ratuthit Road, almost opposite the Jungceylon shopping mall. The bar opens straight onto the street with no walls and no cover charge, so anyone walking past can stop, listen for a song, and move on if it’s not their style.

I remember when this corner was Margaritas. Back then, it pulled the biggest live music crowds in Patong, with people standing three deep on the pavement to watch the bands. Other venues now pull bigger numbers, but Red Hot still fills up fast every night, mostly with passersby who hear the music and decide to stay for one drink.
Live Music and Pole Dancing
The setup is simple. A small stage faces the road, the bar runs along one side, and barstools line the front so customers can sit at the edge of the action. The open layout makes it easy to slip in and out while still keeping an eye on everything happening on Bangla Road.

The bar now features pole dancing alongside the live music sets. This is a real shift from previous years, when the band was the only show. The dancers perform between songs and during instrumental breaks, so the music never fully stops.
The Music and the Crowd
Bands play chart hits and crowd-pleasing classics. The set list leans on tracks most people will recognise from the first few notes, which is exactly what works on a street where half the audience is walking past and deciding whether to stay.
The crowd is mixed. I see couples on their first night out, groups of friends doing a Bangla Road bar crawl, and older travellers who just want to hear a band without paying a cover charge. Most people stay for one or two drinks before moving on to the next stop.
Drink prices are typical for the Bangla Road area. The menu sticks to cold Thai beers, basic spirits, and simple cocktails. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated.
Why Red Hot Works as a Quick Stop
Red Hot is a good first or last bar of the night. The location at the Bangla Road and Ratuthit junction means I can drop in for a song, finish the drink, and walk straight into the rest of the Bangla strip without backtracking. It’s also covered, so a sudden rain shower doesn’t end the visit.
I wouldn’t plan a full evening here, but as part of a Patong nightlife loop, it does the job. One band, one drink, then on to the next place.
