Amazing Landscapes Just North of Phuket
Phang Nga is a province located just 90 kilometres north of Phuket. The two provinces are connected via the Sarasin Bridge, which can be crossed in roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes by vehicle.
Unlike Phuket, which is an island province known for busy beaches and tourism infrastructure, Phang Nga offers a quieter mainland experience. The province is renowned for Phang Nga Bay National Park, featuring dramatic limestone karst formations and over 80 islands. Phang Nga also encompasses the Similan and Surin Islands, world-class diving destinations. Whilst Phuket draws crowds seeking commercial beach resorts and activities, Phang Nga provides a more tranquil alternative with amazing natural landscapes, mangrove forests, and authentic fishing villages that retain traditional Thai island life.
