Kids Club in Jungceylon Patong Beach

Kidzoona is an indoor playpark inside the Robinson area of Jungceylon Shopping Mall in Patong Beach. It is a large, colourful space designed for younger children, roughly ages 2 to 8, with enough variety to keep them busy for a couple of hours while parents cool off in the air conditioning.

The main play area is built around a mini village where kids can pretend to be ice cream makers, bakers, firefighters and shopkeepers. Each station has props and costumes sized for small children, and the whole setup encourages imaginative play rather than just running around. There is also a ball pit, a bouncy house, building blocks, kinetic sand tables and a slide area. The floor is soft throughout, so even toddlers can explore safely.

At least one adult must stay with their children at all times, which is fair enough since the place is designed for parents to join in rather than drop off. There are benches along the edges if you prefer to sit and watch while your kids play. The space is fully air-conditioned, clean and well maintained, making it a reliable option on a rainy afternoon or when the midday heat is too much for the beach.

Kidzoona is not the only reason to visit Jungceylon with children. The mall has a bowling alley, a cinema and several family-friendly restaurants within walking distance of the play area. Combined with a meal and maybe a bit of shopping, it easily fills half a day. If you are staying in Patong with young children, this is one of those places worth knowing about for the days when you need a break from the sand and sun.

I arrived in Phuket in 1994 and have never left. After travelling through 40+ countries and working with Club Med and Expedia, where I created the Hotels.com Go Guides international travel guide with my team, I launched Phuket 101 in 2011 to share what I've explored, discovered and learned. Everything here comes from personal experience, with my own photography and videos from across Thailand.View Author posts
