Nai Harn Beach in south Phuket is known for its soft white sand, clear water, and quieter atmosphere compared to the island’s main resort beaches.

Around Nai Harn, you’ll find hillside resorts, lakeside hotels, and a few villas, many with sea or lake views and easy access to the beach. The area also has a small but growing dining scene, rooftop bars, a nearby temple, and activities like paragliding and coastal walks around Windmill Hill.
The Nai Harn Phuket stands in an excellent location in the south of the island, and with its classic, timeless design, the resort has always been very iconic. Built among thousands of coconut trees on the green hillside of Nai Harn Beach, it is the only resort in Phuket offering a unique view of the beach.
The Black Rock viewpoint, in the south of Phuket, has been known for a while, but it’s among the most challenging ones to reach if you are not familiar with the area. It also requires a car or, even better, a motorbike to get there. You will need to be in a decent physical condition as it involves some steep walking.
Ao Sane Beach proves that Phuket still has some little beaches hidden from view where you can pretend nothing has changed in the past twenty years. Of course, there is no such thing as a ‘secret beach’ anymore, but you must make a little effort to get there.
Phuket windmill viewpoint, also occasionally called wind turbine, is a panoramic hill in the very south of Phuket Island. From up there, you can enjoy a birdview of the very popular Ya Nui Beach on one side and the bay of Nai Harn on the other.
Nai Harn is a superb beach with soft, smooth white sand tucked between green hills and a couple of tiny islands in the south of Phuket. More laid-back than West Coast tourist spots, Nai Harn has enough restaurants, hotels, and shops near the beach for a great day.
Promthep Cape, locally called “Laem Promthep”, seems to be an irresistible spot for a good old sunset photo at the very south of Phuket island, not far from Nai Harn Beach on the way to Rawai Beach.
