Thai cooking classes at BrassWok cater to small groups of 2 to 6 guests per session. Typically, each guest will have their own station and hands-on learning to craft their own dish. The lessons are fun, educational, and entertaining. The Chef Instructor leads the practical class at a pace that is personally suitable and enjoyable for guests. The cooking assistant helps make your learning successful.

You can select 3-4 dishes from their top 20 menus or ask for recommendations for the seasonal set menu. The cooking class takes 3 hours, usually from 9 am – 12 pm for the morning class or 1 pm – 4 pm for the afternoon class. The cost is 3,000 THB net per person. Minimum 2 people booking is required to open a class. Guests will enjoy each dish they make during the class and/or may take away for dinner, and take home BrassWok premium apron and recipes.

Visit a Fresh Market

BrassWok also offers a market tour addition for the morning class, starting at 8 am to visit a fresh market where local people go buy their ingredients for the day. You will get to taste some of the seasonal local snacks as well, whatever may be available that morning. Market Tour + Cooking Class costs 3,900 THB net per person and currently includes pick up within Laguna areas. Transport can also be assisted and arranged if needed for further areas.

Private Classes

For larger groups, BrassWok can also organize a private class, whether a demonstration style or practical workshop, at the venue or private residence. They cater not only to cooking classes but also to customized culinary experiences such as food tours, cooking games for team-building events or company outings, educational fun demos at schools, wedding/stag/hen party programs, or simply family holiday activities.

Who is Chef Pui

BrassWok is led by Chef Pui, who pursued her passion with a second degree from Le Cordon Bleu Dusit’s Professional Thai Cuisine. She believes that you will be surprised by how simple Thai cooking can be and wants to promote locally grown ingredients that are forgotten or overlooked. This nutritious local produce of home-style dishes never made it on the menu of established restaurants, and she wants to shine the light on them as well. Her aim is to make sure you will be able to create the Thai flavour you crave with your available ingredients when you go back home.

Her classes have received all 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor with Certificate of Excellence 2018 and 2019 before COVID-19 locked down the island for a couple of years. Now, for advance booking, BrassWok opens cooking classes at Chef Pui’s private residence, approximately a 10-minute drive from Laguna Phuket.
