Kin-Kub-Ei Restaurant is a hidden gem serving delicious southern dishes cooked by Khun Tubtim (the lady in the photos) with her family recipes and served in a beautiful garden hidden from the main road on the way to Bangtao Beach.
Pru Restaurant at Trisara Phuket has become the first and only restaurant to receive a star from the new Michelin Guide, and being the only one with a star means a lot, but also raises the customers’ expectations quite a lot.
Hong Khao Tom Pla is a discreet and long-established restaurant in Phuket Town, named after its famous fish rice porridge speciality. Behind this modest appearance is a little gem, so good that the Michelin Guide awarded them a ‘Bib Gourmand’, which is a sign of good quality and good value cooking.

Acqua is a fantastic Italian restaurant run for just ten years by talented and friendly Chef Alessandro Frau. This exclusive dining has received many awards and accolades, including a ‘Plate’ award but the Phuket Michelin Guide. The beautifully decorated restaurant is almost hidden in Kalim Beach, just outside Patong Beach on the way to Kamala.
Black Ginger is a fabulous Thai restaurant in a lovely setting inside the Slate hotel in Nai Yang Beach. The cuisine itself is worth the visit, but the design and enigmatic arrival make you feel exceptional, like being in a traditional Thai movie.
