Karon is an immense and beautiful wide beach, so it’s not surprising that this small town is a popular beach resort destination and that there are so many hotels in Karon Beach. The geography of Karon makes it a little challenging to understand how to pick the right hotel. Fortunately, there are a lot of hotels near the beach that do not require spending a fortune.

Karon Beach Geography
- There is a long road parallel to the beach, and most beach-facing hotels are across that road, but only a few restaurants are available on the beachroad.
- There are only two hotels with direct beach access: Centara Grand Beach Resort and Beyond Karon Resort.
- The small town of Karon is perpendicular to the beach road, starting at the circle at the north end of the beach. There are many small hotels in this small town, and it is convenient for eating and shopping but less scenic.
- There are cheap hotels on the back road at the feet of the hill, but keep in mind that unless the hotel provides a shuttle or you rent a car or a bike, what you save on your room will probably be spent on tuk-tuk transfers.

Thavorn Palm Beach Resort
