Phuket’s most exclusive hotel
Amanpuri has been the most exclusive hotel in Phuket for at least three decades, hosting actors, singers, celebrities and wealthy guests. Located on the secluded and private Pansea Beach, Amanpuri Phuket is truly a unique hotel, and we got the chance to visit it and dine at Arva Restaurant. We explored the many incredible outlets, visited the exclusive villas and appreciated this timeless hotel’s exquisite architecture and layout. The legendary Thai hospitality added to the unique atmosphere, and it became obvious that Amanpuri was more than just a five-star resort in Phuket.

The Villas
We got the chance to visit a couple of villas. The villas consist of three or four buildings: bedrooms, a living room and an outdoor sala. The bedrooms are spacious with an oversized bathroom, and the design is typically Thai with a lot of wood. The large swimming pools also have the Amanpuri black tiles’ signature colour.
Arva Restaurant
Arva is an excellent Italian restaurant facing the ocean in a traditional Thai building and serving excellent sustainable Italian cuisine. The setting is beautiful, the service is impeccable, and most importantly, the dining experience is delightful.
The Boutique
The boutique is a destination in itself. Beyond just shopping, it is worth seeing the triangular building designed by Kengo Kuma, a renowned Japanese architect. It is bright and spacious, and the layout excels at highlighting the crafts and jewellery on sale.
Pansea Beach
Pansea beach is an amazingly beautiful semi-private beach in Phuket, only accessible to the guests of the Amanpuri and The Surin Resort next door. Of course, private beaches don’t exist in Thailand, but since the surrounding lands belong to those two hotels, no one can walk through them.
