Sansiri’s Social Space in Bang Tao with Coffee and Spanish Tapas
The Society is off Lagoon Road near Bang Tao Beach, a co-working and dining space developed by Sansiri. It’s their first project like this in Phuket. Inside there’s a coffee roaster (BEANS) and a Spanish tapas restaurant (VAMOS), plus meeting rooms and a small gallery. We stopped by for coffee and ended up staying for lunch.
The Building
The building was designed by Edward Tuttle’s team, the architect behind the Aman resorts. Lots of wood, warm earth tones, natural light through large windows. It feels more like a private house than a commercial space. There are some statement furniture pieces around, including a Cocoon by Louis Vuitton and Mario Bellini lounge chairs. Nice to look at, probably not meant for actual sitting.

BEANS Coffee Roaster
BEANS is a Bangkok-based coffee roaster focused on sustainability. They source beans from Thailand and overseas. Ethiopian, South American, local Thai varieties. You can make your own blend if you want, or just order a regular coffee. We tried the Pineapple Splash, which is their signature cold drink. Refreshing, a bit sweet. Open 7 am to 7 pm daily. VAMOS Spanish Tapas
VAMOS is a Spanish tapas restaurant run by Chef Rene, who has over 30 years of experience cooking in America and Hong Kong. The menu uses local and sustainable ingredients where possible. We had the Paella Surf & Turf, which has bomba rice, saffron, lobster, clams, chicken, chorizo, and shrimp. Rich and filling. Open 7 am to midnight daily. Read more
Co-Working and Events
There are private meeting rooms if you need to work. A garden connects the two main buildings, and the space is sometimes used for events and art exhibitions. There’s also a small gallery showing Sansiri’s property developments (The Tales and Canvas condos), so yes, it’s partly a showroom. Pet-friendly, 16 parking spots.
Thailand Biennale
The Society sometimes hosts exhibitions connected to cultural events like the Thailand Biennale. Check their social media for current shows.
