Ketho Coffee & Kitchen – Dim Sum Restaurant in Phuket

A great Dim Sum breakfast in Phuket

Ketho Coffee & Kitchen is a dim sum restaurant very popular with locals for their breakfast, mostly for their dim sums but also for their soups and rice porridge. The place is very casual and cheap: a basket of Dim Sum costs only 50 baht, so you can imagine how busy the place is from early morning at 6 am until noon every single day.

What to order at Ketho Coffee & Kitchen

You already know that Dim Sums are small steamed dishes served in restaurants for breakfast and for lunch, but you may not be familiar with the concept of those small restaurants around Phuket. Here you select from the fridge the dim sums you like and carry your tray to the steaming station and tell them your table number. They will then steam them for you and bring them to your table when ready. It’s a fun and easy-going breakfast!

The choice of Dim Sum seems quite large, as you see in the photos, but they often rotate around shrimp and pork stuffing in different proportions. Kids will certainly love the very realistic Angry Birds Dim Sums! Ketho also serves Khao Tom, a rice porridge very popular for breakfast.

Bak Kut Teh: pork rib dish cooked in broth
Ha-Gao: Prawn dumpling
Hai Shu Mai: Crab meat dumpling
Ha Cheung Fan: Steamed prawn rice flour roll
Zhu Shu Mai: Pork dumpling
Ha Wonton: Prawn dumpling
Zhu + Ha Shu Mai: Pork+Prawn dumpling
