Where to Eat in Kata Noi Beach?

The bay of Kata Noi Beach is not very big, but there are quite a few restaurants nearby. Some of the most popular are built along the hillside road that passes high above the bay, offering panoramic views of the turquoise water and great sunsets. These have been here for over two decades and remain a popular stop between Kata Beach and Nai Harn Beach. Only three resorts occupy the beachfront: Katathani Phuket Beach Resort, The Shore, and Mom Tri’s Villa Royale. Each has restaurants, but at hotel prices. For more variety and all budgets, Kata Beach is just a short tuk-tuk ride away.

After Beach Bar

After Beach Bar Phuket on Kata Noi Beach

Cuisine: Thai, Asian – Price: $$ Affordable

After Beach Bar has been here for over two decades and remains one of the most popular sunset stops on the road between Kata and Nai Harn. From the outside, the restaurant looks modest with low thatched roofs and an old-fashioned reggae atmosphere with Bob Marley songs and Rasta colours. Walk through, and you’ll find a beautiful panorama of Kata Noi Bay on the other side. The wooden terraces are built on stilts, which can feel a bit adventurous if you look down. The food is good without being exceptional, the menu is vast, and the prices are fair for the location. The service is not the strongest point, but it doesn’t matter much when the sunset is this good. Read more

Hotel Restaurants

The Harbor Restaurant

The Harbor Restaurant

Cuisine: International, Thai – Price: $$$ Pricey

The Harbor Restaurant at The Shore at Katathani was a lot better than most hotel restaurants we had previously tried. Set by the side of the infinity pool and above the beach, it has a romantic atmosphere and offers an excellent menu and wine list. The food changes throughout the day, covering Thai and international cuisine. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for a luxury hotel restaurant. Worth a visit even if you’re not staying at the hotel.
