Patong Go-Kart Speedway is one of three Go-Kart tracks you can find in Phuket. It no doubt has the most varied kart fleet and a very good track to offer. The Speedway is located about 30 minutes from Patong Beach, just next to the Tiger Kingdom Phuket on the way to Phuket Town. Whether you are a pro driver or just arriving for the first time at a karting track, the Patong Go-Kart Speedway offers a ton of fun.

The track is located pretty close to the centre of Phuket, and driving to the track will take around 30 minutes. The place is well maintained and includes 750 meters of asphalt in very good condition, with many turns and straightaways.

The place is surrounded by pastoral forest and offers a place for the non-drivers to sit and hide from the sun. Additionally, there is a kiosk where you can purchase water and snacks while having a panoramic view of the track. Near the track, you will be able to find more attractions like buggies or even a shooting range.

The Go-Karts Fleet

The most attractive point in the track is that there are 6-7 different Go-Karts models that can fit any level or driver age. The fleet includes Go-Karts for kids (which have a speed limiter), Go-Karts for teenagers, and even double-seaters for couples or parents with kids.

If you are looking for a real adventure, there are race-grade karts that will accelerate up to 120 KMH lite a bullet and will provide a shot of adrenalin in seconds.

Kids Kart – Limited speed and small size seat for kids, reach up to 40 KPH
Double Seaters Karts – Two seats, A good start to get familiar with the track and reach up to 50 KPH
Single 4 Stroke Karts (250cc\270cc) – The normal size kart for adults or teenagers reach up to 50-70 KPH and is good for beginners
Single 4 Stroke Karts (370cc) – Powerful kart for those who want to speed up the pace.
2 Stroke Karts (100cc\125cc) – A racing kart that accelerates fast and reaches up to 100-125 KPH, this kart is not a joke and will give you a taste of how it really fills in the pro leagues.

Driving Experience

If you are looking for some action between the Banana Roti’s and the tours in the streets of Old Phuket, you will find that in the Speedway for sure. The team on the track is experienced; you will get the needed safety equipment for driving, which include a helmet, hair cover, and rib protector.

After making sure the equipment is fit, you will choose which kart you want to take for a 10-minute session (more than that is not easy), and you will go to the pit to adjust the kart to your size.

Driving on the track is easy since the corners are wide, there is a lot of space for error, and the team ensures that there are not too many drivers on the track driving at the same time.
