A Popular Lebanese Restaurant in Patong

Marush is a Lebanese restaurant that started in Patong and now has four branches across Phuket. I tried the one on Soi Kep Sab, a tiny lane near Patong Beach. It’s small, maybe 15 tables, but it was packed on a weeknight. The team was friendly and helpful, recommending dishes without being pushy about it.

What We Ate

The staff suggested the mixed grill platter, and it was the right call. Chicken, lamb kebabs, and kofte on a wooden board with rice, fries, grilled peppers, and four dipping sauces. The meat was well-seasoned and properly cooked. Not dry, not overdone. The flatbread wrap came on its own board, too, stuffed with filling and served with rice on the side. Portions are big. Two people could share one platter and still walk out full.

The Branches

Marush has grown quickly. There are currently four locations: Soi Kep Sab in Patong, Phrabaramee Road near the mosque, a beachfront spot called Marush By The Beach on Phrabaramee toward Kalim, and one on Kamala high street near Big C. A fifth branch on Patong Beach is coming soon.

The menu covers Lebanese and some Italian dishes. Think hummus, shish taouk, mansaf, lamb kabsa, but also pizzas and burgers. They bring you complimentary mint tea and a small dessert after your meal, which is a nice touch.

The Ratings

What stands out is how consistently high their ratings are. Google shows 4.8 across thousands of reviews. They do encourage customers to leave reviews, but not in an annoying way. A small card on the table, that sort of thing. The food speaks for itself.

Worth Knowing

The Soi Kep Sab branch is open from 11 am to 2 am. It’s easy to miss the lane if you don’t know it. The restaurant is air-conditioned with glass walls so you can see inside from the street. No alcohol served, but they have fresh juices and soft drinks.
