Panoramic Cafe on Tri Trang Beach
The Cozy Cafe is built into the steep hillside on the road to Paradise Beach, just past Tri Trang Beach. It’s one of several small restaurants along this stretch, and it’s the one most people come to for photos. The whole place is designed around its view, and the view is genuinely impressive.
The Cafe
The cafe has several terraces stepping down the hillside toward the water, each at a different level. The top level by the road is where you order and where the kitchen is. Below that, more terraces with tables, bean bags, and the popular swing hanging from a coconut tree. Everything is painted in orange tones with a Balinese feel to it. It’s clearly built for the selfie crowd, and it works. On busy days, you’ll see people queuing for the swing and the bird’s nest photo spot.
Food and Drinks
The menu covers Thai dishes, pizza, seafood, smoothies, and coffee. It’s basic cafe food, nothing fancy. The smoothies and iced coffees are fine for the price. I wouldn’t come here specifically for the food, but it does the job while you take in the panorama across Tri Trang Bay and Patong Beach in the distance.
Good to Know
Be ready for a lot of steps if you want to reach the lower terraces. Some of the bamboo structures down there look a bit tired, so watch your step. The cafe is right next to the elephant operation, so you might see elephants in the water below. It’s the same road as Blue Harbour Coffee and Sunshine View Restaurant, so you could easily visit all three in one trip. Come earlier in the day for better light and fewer people.
