What to do on Yaowarat Road?
Yaowarat Road in old Phuket Town connects the popular heritage streets of Thalang Road, Phang Nga Road and Dibuk Road, starting from the fountain circle near the municipal market. The Yaowarat road of Phuket is, of course, not to be confused with the street of the same name Yaowarat Road in Bangkok, better known as Chinatown. Phuket is modest but growing in popularity, with many restaurants, shops and fun bars to enjoy as you discover the old town.
Limpanon House
Sa-Nguan Mansion, or Limpanon House, is an abandoned old Phuket family house built more than 100 years ago. It is hidden at the Intersection of Yaowarat Road and Phang Nga Road. The door of the ‘tunnel’ leading to this mansion was opened for a long time, but it has been locked for years now; probably too many people tried to sneak in. This is one of the most mysterious houses in town.
