Krua Praya: Michelin Bib Gourmand in Phuket
Krua Praya is a Southern Thai restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide with a Bib Gourmand for good food at reasonable prices. It’s in a garden setting under trees, open-air with a casual feel. Not easy to find, about 10 minutes from the Heroine’s Monument on the way to the airport, but worth the drive.

The staff are friendly and can explain dishes if you’re not sure what to order. Good spot for lunch or dinner with family. Prices are fair for the quality.

What to Order
Southern Thai food with strong flavours. Some dishes we tried:
Moo Hong is braised pork belly, slow-cooked with soy sauce, garlic, and spices. Tender and not too sweet. Nam Prik Kung Siap is a chilli dip made with dried shrimp, served with fresh vegetables. Pad Pak Miang is stir-fried shrimp with local greens. If you like spicy food, try the dried curry with crispy pork.
Hor Mok (fish curry mousse) 80 Baht

Pla Thot Khamin (Fried Turmeric Fish) 200 Baht

Kaeng Kathi Sappa-rot (Pineapple Curry) 180 Baht

Yam Khai Dao (Spicy Fried Egg Salad) 180 Baht
