An Art Gallery in Thalang
Napas Art Gallery is a small gallery and working studio in Cherng Talay, run by husband-and-wife artists Soon Papan and Juffy Joob. They opened in 2013 and have become recognised figures on the Phuket art scene. The gallery presents original paintings and sculptures, offering visitors the opportunity to engage directly with the artists in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The couple are now part of the Thailand Biennale, the country’s premier international contemporary art exhibition running in Phuket until 30 April 2026. Their work appears alongside over 60 artists at venues across the island. It’s good timing to visit, as the Biennale has brought fresh attention to local artists who’ve been quietly working here for years.
The gallery is near Porto de Phuket and Boat Avenue, making it easy to combine with lunch or shopping in the Bang Tao area.
Beyond paintings, they create sculptures too. A turquoise cat-octopus hybrid called “Meow Fuang” sits in the gallery, the kind of piece that makes you stop and look twice.
Napas Art Gallery is a working studio where visitors sometimes catch the artists painting. The atmosphere is relaxed, no pressure to buy. A great stop if you appreciate contemporary Thai art during your visit to Phuket. Entrance is free.
