A Latin American rooftop on Kamala Beach
Casa Boho is a casual Latin American restaurant on a superb rooftop perched high above the little-known Rayee Beach, just south of Kamala Beach. The restaurant is part of the Hyatt Regency Resort Phuket and was designed by the same people who did the very popular Above Eleven rooftop bar in Bangkok.
The pool deck is an oceanview restaurant with an indoor area and a terrace with daybeds along an infinite pool where you can enjoy cocktails and tapas while watching the sunset over Kamala Bay. During the day, the pool is yours to swim in and cool down.
Take the stairs downwards, and you will discover The Den, a private playground with comfy sofas and games, such as pool, foosball, table tennis and even old-school arcade games, a fun place to take the kids after dinner!
Once the sun has disappeared behind the horizon, the sky remains blue for a while and sets the perfect background for a Latin American dinner at Casa Boho. With their excellent selection of wines, this is a dinner with a view you should treat yourself to once while at Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort.
What to order
The menu is long and varied, here are just a few of the dishes to enjoy:
Croquette de Carne Assada (350 baht) Cuban style croquettes filled with Angus brisket and served with chipotle aioli sauce. Empanadas de Carne (395 baht) Argentinian-style pies stuffed with slow-braised Angus chuck roast with red capsicum.
Calamari (225 baht) Fresh calamari rings dusted in seasoned flour and fried. Served with black olive aioli.
Gambas al Pil Pil (575 baht) Andaman sea tiger prawns cooked with a generous amount of garlic in extra virgin olive oil.
Casa Boho Ceviche (430 baht) Sea bass, leche de tigre, aji amarillo, jalapeno, Seville orange, ruby grapefruit burnt avocado.
Scallop & Prawn Ceviche (350 baht) Scallop, tiger prawn, leche de tigre, red onion, Thai mango, Haas avocado, Poblano chilli.
Seabass a la Plancha (850 baht) Grilled seabass smeared with salsa verde and aji rojo. Served with Mexican rice, street corn
with lime wedges and coriander.
Carne Asada (950 baht) Grilled Angus ribeye accompanied with flour tortillas, red chimichurri, refried beans and roasted jalapenos.
Served with sweet potatoes and charred corn.
Arroz con Marischio (375 baht) Slow-cooked seafood rice with scallops, shell mussels, prawns and blue crab in aji amarillo
and fragrant fish fumet.
Tres Leche (120 baht) tres leches cake soaked in four types of milk and topped with whipped cream, strawberries, and cinnamon powder
Dolce de Banana (195 baht) Slow-cooked bananas in cinnamon syrup. Served on Breton biscuit and finished with a chantilly cream
and vanilla ice cream.
Churros Con Chocolate (220 baht) House-made churros with Valhrona Jivara 40% milk chocolate sauce and sheep milk gelato
Arroz Con Leche (155 baht) Mexican rice pudding infused with Madagascar vanilla bean, cinnamon & citrus zest. Served with sweet Thai mango
