Ceres Phuket
Ceres Phuket is an excellent Korean barbecue restaurant located on Chaofa East Road, just 2 km from the famous Wat Chalong Temple. The food is excellent, and the quality of meat (mostly pork or beef) is above average, which justifies the slightly higher prices. The menu is long enough for us to pick plenty of appetizing dishes. As always in Korean restaurants, remember not to order too much because you will be served up to 15 delicious side dishes! Pickles, salads, dried fish, kimchi and many more we could not name but enjoy eating.
We ordered 3 sets of meat, and the staff cooked it in the kitchen, avoiding having your clothes and hair smell smoke! The best was the LA Galbi marinated grilled beef ribs on a hot plate (990 baht), then Moksal Gui, a charcoal grilled pork marinated in Galbi sauce served on a hot cast iron pan (290 baht) and Kimchi Jjigae on the side.
The restaurant is vast, with two modern indoor rooms surrounded by large windows and a semi-outdoor terrace. The place is spacious and comfortable, with a lot of space between tables. The staff is friendly and attentive, and our dinner at Ceres is always fun and delicious. We went to Ceres quite often because the food, the staff and the casual atmosphere make it always a happy dinner after a long working day.
There is ample parking in the back of the restaurant, which is very convenient.
